Senior MMIC Design Engineer, RFIC Engineering

What you'll do

• Derive hardware specifications for the RF system and individual MMIC blocks.
• Develop MMIC products from initial specification through to mass production.
• Simulate and model MMIC front end circuits at the circuit and electromagnetic levels.
• Partition functions between hardware and software domains with system architects and ASIC engineers.
• Determine packaging and implementation methods for MMICs in coordination with PCB designers.
• Evaluate, characterize, and analyze the full performance of MMIC prototypes.
• Assist in the development of automated test equipment for laboratory measurements.
• Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing of MMIC components and RF systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of research and/or industry experience in RF/microwave circuit design.
• Experience with GaAs and/or GaN MMIC design of linear and non-linear circuits including power amplifiers, LNAs, mixers, filters, and PLLs.
• MS or PhD in an engineering discipline with emphasis in MMIC design, RF/microwave circuits, and/or electromagnetic theory (preferred).
• Deep understanding of theory and MMIC design of RF front end blocks from S-band to E-band frequency ranges (preferred).
• RF/microwave design tool experience using ADS, HFSS, AWR or similar (preferred).
• Experience in Matlab, Python, C++ or equivalent tools for modeling, analyzing and automating RF systems (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
