TL;DR · Senior Manager, Computer Vision Inference

The Sr Manager, Computer Vision Inference will lead two to three machine learning engineering teams reporting to the Head of Computer Vision. This leadership role involves driving engineering execution for edge ML pipelines, specifically architecting and delivering end-to-end video analytics processing pipelines that operate in real-time under tight resource constraints on edge hardware. The successful candidate will optimize high-performance ML inference to maximize throughput and minimize latency while collaborating with hardware, platform, embedded firmware, and AI research teams. Key requirements include deep expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and the MLOps lifecycle. The role focuses on translating complex customer needs into technical roadmaps to solve problems within video security and analytics, specifically developing embedded vision hardware solutions and multi-camera video analytics for mission-critical environments.

What you'll do

  • Lead 2-3 ML engineering teams to develop and deploy computer vision solutions on edge devices.
  • Architect end-to-end video analytics processing pipelines that operate in real-time under tight resource constraints.
  • Optimize ML inference to maximize throughput and minimize latency across diverse hardware platforms.
  • Partner with hardware, firmware, and research teams to integrate model outputs into commercial-grade solutions.
  • Define and track core performance benchmarks to ensure reliability in mission-critical environments.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing ML and computer vision engineers.
  • Translate ambiguous product concepts and customer needs into executable technical roadmaps and specifications.

What we're looking for

  • Master’s degree in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 11+ years of computer vision experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering leadership experience managing computer vision and deep learning teams delivering edge or embedded software.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building and optimizing computer vision models or implementing computer vision algorithms.
  • Demonstrated track record of directly managing organizations of 20-30 engineers.
  • Deep expertise in the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle and building high-performance inference runtimes.
  • Experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment demonstrating high ownership and the ability to drive 0-to-1 product development.
  • Hands-on experience building multi-camera video analytics, real-time streaming frameworks, or embedded vision hardware solutions (preferred).
