As a Sr Lead Software Engineer - UAT Data Platform & Governance Lead within Asset & Wealth Management, you will join an agile team to define the strategy, operating model, and engineering execution for UAT data provisioning at scale. You will build and evolve a reusable UAT Data Platform that delivers reliable datasets across multiple Sources of Record through standardized patterns, governance controls, and automated orchestration to improve environment stability and testing outcomes. Your daily responsibilities include managing the platform roadmap, establishing access management and auditability, and leading end-to-end orchestrations for data refreshes. You will utilize Java, Python, or Go to build APIs and distributed services while leveraging CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native patterns. The role focuses on solving complex technical challenges in test data management and automated workflow execution within a regulated environment.

What you'll do

  • Define the strategy, reference architecture, and "golden path" standards for UAT data provisioning.
  • Own the roadmap for the UAT Data Platform to improve dataset availability and environment stability.
  • Establish governance controls including access management, auditability, and quality validation for UAT data.
  • Lead the end-to-end orchestration of UAT refreshes across multiple Sources of Record.
  • Build self-service capabilities for automated workflow execution and status traceability for users.
  • Drive engineering excellence through secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response discipline.
  • Act as the accountable technical leader for design decisions regarding platform scalability and stability.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience designing and building workflow-driven automation platforms such as orchestration services or data platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Go with experience building APIs and distributed services.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automation pipelines, and operational practices like runbooks and incident response.
  • Ability to manage complex cross-system dependencies and execute coordinated releases across multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes in disciplines such as cloud, AI, or machine learning.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • Experience with test data management or UAT environment refresh processes in regulated environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data protection patterns, privacy-by-design, and controlled data access models (preferred).
  • Experience with event-driven systems, scheduling/orchestration frameworks, and platform reliability engineering (preferred).
  • Exposure to modern cloud-native patterns like containers, infrastructure-as-code, and service observability (preferred).
  • Experience in Platform Engineering including building reusable services and self-service workflows (preferred).
  • Systems Thinking regarding data flows and failure modes across multiple sources of record (preferred).
