What you'll do

Design, build, and deliver high-performing applications and frameworks for the Markets Data Lake Platform.
Lead architecture and development efforts to integrate the Markets Data Lake with the Athena platform.
Develop data-driven AI capabilities and accelerate the adoption of cloud-based data technologies.
Write secure production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Architect scalable microservices and real-time services using Kafka streaming and AWS Cloud Platform.
Establish engineering standards and advocate for firmwide frameworks and SDLC practices.
Influence project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies and innovative software designs.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Prior experience with Sell-Side analytics platforms like JPMC Athena, SecDB, or Quartz.
Advanced experience in software design and architecture with a focus on Python development.
Experience developing microservices and real-time services using technologies such as Kafka streaming.
Experience with big data technologies and the AWS Cloud Platform.
Experience with AWS Lake Formation and both relational and NoSQL database technologies.
Strong systems engineering, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
