What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing within the SDLC.
Define processes to release new features quickly within Snowflake and eliminate technical bottlenecks.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Design creative software solutions and perform complex technical troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Serve as a subject matter expert to influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Python.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
Practical cloud native experience with AWS and Snowflake.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, security, and financial services IT systems. (preferred: AWS Certification(s))
