What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
Establish measurable validation standards for AI-generated outputs regarding security, performance, and correctness.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business units, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through informed decision-making.
Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
Mentor and grow talent within the team through leadership and one-to-one coaching.
Serve as a subject matter expert for firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java.
Experience with Python, AWS EKS, and AWS ECS.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
Formal cloud training or certification (preferred); experience with Django, Localstack, and Javascript (preferred).
