As a Sr. Infrastructure Platform Engineer - Data Center, you will join the Data Center Services team to manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of global data center infrastructure. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable IT solutions, including Windows Server-based systems across multiple regions. Your daily responsibilities involve managing physical infrastructure such as rack layouts, structured cabling, power distribution, cooling, and hardware lifecycle activities like installation and decommissioning. You will also focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code, and process modernization to improve efficiency. The role requires expertise in servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and hyper-converged infrastructure. You will utilize monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, and Grafana while ensuring high availability and performance for the organization's global data center environments through proactive maintenance and technical problem-solving.
Manage day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of global data center infrastructure.
Design and maintain scalable IT infrastructure solutions across multiple regions and cloud environments.
Deploy and manage secure Windows Server-based systems across various global locations.
Oversee physical infrastructure including rack layouts, structured cabling, and equipment placement.
Execute hardware lifecycle tasks including installation, relocation, and decommissioning of data center equipment.
Provide escalation support for complex issues regarding power, cooling, networking, and server performance.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation for cable schedules, capacity tracking, and operational procedures.
Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
What we're looking for
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience working in Data Center Operations for multiple locations.
Expertise in data center infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, power/cooling systems, virtualization, and hyper-converged infrastructure.
Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Grafana.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
