What you'll do

Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for non-conforming Starshield production hardware.
Use design schematics and test equipment to identify the physics of electrical failures.
Drive data-driven corrective actions based on yield and defect monitoring to improve product reliability.
Collaborate with test engineers to improve test assets, reduce false failures, and increase coverage.
Identify manufacturing and design improvements during new product development cycles to increase final yields.
Maintain detailed documentation of failure analysis findings, test results, and corrective actions.
Translate on-orbit investigation findings into timely production improvements.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on the reliability team.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in hardware development, failure analysis, or reliability engineering.
2+ years of experience using electrical test equipment like multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, DOE Level Q clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or other specific legal status required for ITAR compliance.
Experience with digital/mixed-signal designs, power electronics, or RF electronics is preferred.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, C, or C++.
Familiarity with PCBA fabrication, environmental testing (HALT/HASS), and IPC standards like IPC-A-610G.
