PCB Reliability Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the design and development of PCB stackups for new hardware designs.
• Drive the introduction of new materials in coordination with design and supply chain teams.
• Create test plans and lead PCB reliability campaigns for Starlink volume production.
• Manage Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and maintain process documentation with vendors.
• Identify trends to optimize product output, quality, and manufacturing costs.
• Provide technical feedback to engineering teams to improve design for manufacturability.
• Identify, root-cause, and implement corrective actions for PCB reliability failures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in PCB reliability or PCB fabrication.
• Experience working with PCB materials and PCB fab processes from industry (preferred).
• Knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards (preferred).
• Experience running failure analysis investigations and using tools like X-Ray, cross-section, and polishing (preferred).
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods such as experiment design and process capability analysis (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and use data to drive systemic improvements (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
