Senior Engineer, Systems Software Automation

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and support infrastructure for instrument and system-level testing.
• Create reusable test libraries, device interfaces, protocol libraries, and common automation components across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system testability, observability, communication protocols, and diagnostic capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on the automation codebase while establishing best practices for software architecture and code quality.
• Lead technical design and code reviews for various test automation initiatives.
• Develop automation solutions that improve test efficiency, reliability, repeatability, and coverage for distributed systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, test automation, software verification, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong software development experience with Python, including object-oriented programming and debugging.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks or substantial automation infrastructure.
• Experience testing microservice-based software systems with distributed network topologies in on-prem, cloud, or hybrid deployments.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD systems, and modern software development practices.
• Experience with medical devices, embedded systems, or other regulated products (preferred).
• Experience interfacing with physical devices, laboratory equipment, or test instrumentation (preferred).
