What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and infrastructure for instrument and system-level testing.
  • Develop reusable Python-based test libraries, device interfaces, protocol libraries, and common automation components.
  • Build software simulators and emulators for hardware devices to enable isolated and reproducible testing.
  • Mentor engineers on the automation codebase while establishing best practices for architecture and code quality.
  • Lead technical design and code reviews for various test automation initiatives.
  • Improve test efficiency, reliability, repeatability, and coverage through advanced Python-based automation solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or test automation.
  • Strong software development experience with Python, including object-oriented programming and debugging.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks or substantial automation infrastructure.
  • Experience testing complex systems involving software, hardware, embedded devices, and communication interfaces.
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD systems, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience with medical devices, embedded systems, or other regulated products (preferred).
  • Experience with communication technologies like serial, USB, TCP/IP, Bluetooth/BLE, or similar protocols (preferred).
