Senior Engineer - Price Publish (Price Decision Engine)

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin.
• Design and implement REST APIs and Kafka-based event processing for price updates.
• Translate abstract system architectures into concrete designs and influence implementation decisions.
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging activities at the application level.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while eliminating recurring operational problems.
• Conduct research and proof-of-concept activities to evaluate and integrate new technologies.
• Manage the lifecycle, cost of ownership, and disaster recovery planning for production services.
• Ensure data quality protocols are embedded throughout the acquisition, processing, and storage phases.

What we're looking for

• A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 5 years of software development experience is required.
• Strong experience in developing enterprise applications using Java is required.
• Strong experience with Kotlin or the ability to quickly become productive in Kotlin is required.
• Strong experience building distributed backend services using Apache Kafka is required.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting high-volume Rest APIs is required.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL is required.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, modular mono repo architectures, RocksDB, or retail/eCommerce platforms (preferred).
