Senior Data Scientist, Fraud Risk Oversight

What you'll do

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models and algorithms.
• Perform deep-dive analytics on transactional and identity data to identify emerging fraud patterns.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of fraud strategies developed by the first line of defense.
• Act as a subject matter expert to advise senior leadership on risk control values.
• Ensure high standards of data quality and integrity across all processes.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists in their professional development.
• Use Python and SQL to extract insights from large-scale datasets.
• Create data visualizations to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL is required to extract insights from large datasets.
• Skilled in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Python libraries like Seaborn and Plotly.
• Deep understanding of fraud typologies including account takeover, payment fraud, and synthetic identity.
• Experience performing deep-dive analytics on transactional and identity data to identify emerging patterns.
• Ability to mentor junior data scientists and drive best practices in data science.
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert to advise leadership on the value of risk controls.
