JOB TITLE: Sr. Data Quality Analyst
The Sr. Data Quality Analyst joins the CoverMyMeds team to build and mature a comprehensive enterprise data quality capability from the ground up. This role involves designing a data quality framework, establishing scoring methodologies, and standing up data observability for priority pipelines. You will translate business expectations into practical standards, processes, and reusable rule libraries while defining SLAs and reporting KPIs like completeness and accuracy. Key responsibilities include triaging root causes, conducting assessments, and administering observability tools. You will utilize SQL, Python, and platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, and Soda. The work focuses on solving data integrity issues within complex data architectures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, and integrating quality checks into ETL/ELT and streaming workflows.
Design and build an enterprise data quality framework including dimensions, scoring methodology, and escalation paths.
Stand up data observability capabilities to monitor freshness, volume, schema drift, and lineage-aware anomalies.
Define and operationalize data quality rules for critical data elements by encoding business meaning into testable logic.
Build a data quality service layer featuring reusable rule libraries, monitoring dashboards, and alerting systems.
Conduct data quality assessments, triage root causes, and drive remediation plans with engineering teams.
Evaluate, implement, and administer data quality and observability tools like Collibra, Informatica, or Monte Carlo.
Establish data quality SLAs and report KPIs such as completeness, accuracy, and incident MTTR to leadership.
Train data stewards and business users on the data quality framework, tooling, and escalation procedures.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
7+ years of experience in data quality, data observability, data engineering, or data governance.
Direct experience building a data quality capability within a large, complex organization.
Proven experience designing data quality frameworks and implementing data observability tooling and practices.
Strong understanding of data pipelines, data architecture, and integration of quality checks into ETL/ELT and streaming workflows.
Hands-on experience with data quality/observability platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Soda) and catalog/lineage tools.
Proficiency with SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer support or sponsorship.
