Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

What you'll do

• Manage and address cybersecurity incidents through identification, containment, and eradication phases.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on systems, accounts, and networks to identify root causes of incidents.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate potential threats before they cause harm.
• Develop and refine detection rules to improve the identification and response to security incidents.
• Create and maintain incident response playbooks and runbooks to ensure standardized processes.
• Implement process automation to streamline incident response workflows and improve efficiency.
• Mentor and train junior analysts in advanced incident response techniques and procedures.
• Provide detailed reports and documentation of incidents and corresponding response actions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or information security.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience, or 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years total experience.
• Experience working in an enterprise-level incident response team or security operations center (preferred).
• Proven expertise in incident response, threat hunting, malware analysis, web application security, or security engineering (preferred).
• 3+ years of SOC work experience with a bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCFA, or CySA+ (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, packet analysis), operating systems (Windows and Linux), and security tools like SIEM, AV, WAF, and EDR.
• Understanding of web application vulnerabilities, DDoS mitigation, and cloud technologies with related security best practices.
