Senior Communication Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the integration, verification, and testing of communication systems with a focus on MAC and higher layer protocols.
• Develop advanced L1/L2/L3 concepts to improve the performance and reliability of the LEO network.
• Build system and network simulation services using Matlab, C++, or Python.
• Model physical layer aspects including receiver modeling, interference cancellation, and FEC abstraction models.
• Derive system-level requirements down to hardware and software levels and define associated test cases.
• Identify necessary hardware and software for verification and guide development teams in creating testing tools.
• Write scripts and code for specific functions required for the simulation and verification of RF systems.
• Analyze system performance metrics including throughput, latency, availability, and packet loss.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the electrical engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in wireless systems design and/or RF design implementation.
• Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, and RF system analysis.
• 7+ years of experience developing code in Matlab, C, C++, or Python with industry standard coding and regression practices.
• Experience with information theory, network coding, mobile mesh networks, or LEO satellite networks (preferred).
• Experience with simulation of RF standards like 4G/5G, 802.11, DVB-S2, or other broadband wireless standards (preferred).
