Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

What you'll do

• Establish new API connections to external data sources and integrate systems between SevenRooms and DoorDash.
• Model and surface actionable data to stakeholders across GTM, Finance, and Operations departments.
• Architect automated AI flows and build the underlying infrastructure to scale AI capabilities within business platforms.
• Develop and maintain production-grade data pipelines using tools like DBT, BigQuery, Fivetran, and Cloud Functions.
• Manage and administer BI tools such as Looker to provide insights for decision-making.
• Establish governance standards and control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability across all data pipelines.
• Translate complex technical work into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• You must have a degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• You must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with DBT.
• You must have at least 1 year of experience owning and architecting production-grade data pipelines end-to-end.
• You must have 4+ years of experience owning and administering a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
• You must have 4+ years of demonstrated SQL mastery.
• You must have 2+ years of Python experience applied to real-world data challenges like API integrations and workflow orchestration.
• You must have experience deploying or launching AI models in a business context.
• You must be able to translate complex technical work into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders across departments.
