Sr. Avionics Test Engineer (Starshield) joins a team focused on developing satellite hardware for government use in earth observation and communications. You will select commercial-off-the-shelf hardware or design custom PCBAs to measure signals and power units under test while writing automation software in Python to interact with instrumentation and production systems. The role involves root-causing test anomalies and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to improve reliability. Required skills include proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++, along with experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers. You will also utilize knowledge of electrical schematics, metrology, and environmental testing such as HALT, HASS, vibration, and thermal vacuum.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or an engineering discipline with an emphasis on electrical engineering and electronics.
5+ years of experience with electronic hardware development or software development.
5+ years of programming experience using Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++.
Ability to be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
Experience analyzing circuits and developing functional test plans (preferred).
