What you'll do

Provide hands-on platform administration and support for data governance tools like Alation, Anomalo, MANTA, and Semarchy.
Execute production engineering processes including incident management, root cause analysis, change management, and release management.
Perform AWS-based engineering support and manage access, connectors, and integrations for data platforms.
Conduct proactive system maintenance, disaster recovery planning, and data backup and recovery procedures.
Drive capacity requirements and implement enhancements to meet current and future infrastructure needs.
Apply secure software and systems engineering practices to protect data and technology solutions from threats.
Maintain hardware and software currency by performing recommended upgrades and system optimizations.
Document procedures, improve runbooks, and provide technical support to platform users and stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Must have two or more years of experience developing and implementing integrated solutions.
Must have experience testing and debugging integrated solutions.
Must possess Python development, SQL, and REST APIs/API Integration skills.
Must have Cloud/AWS fundamentals and Git/source control knowledge.
Must understand the Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD (GitHub Actions and Harness), and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Must have knowledge of planning, management, and execution of the Accelerated Solutions Delivery framework.
Must have Information Security acumen and the ability to influence, negotiate, and set priorities.
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with data platforms such as Alation, Snowflake, Databricks, etc. (preferred).
Technology certifications in AWS, Azure, scripting, or security (preferred).
Insurance or financial services industry knowledge (preferred).
