What you'll do

  • Develop, test, and optimize multimodal quantitative SPECT imaging technologies for clinical use.
  • Design and conduct nuclear image formation experiments while analyzing quantitative data to improve system designs.
  • Integrate CZT detector modules with front-end electronics, readout systems, and mechanical structures.
  • Assemble, debug, and troubleshoot prototype systems across physics, electronics, and mechanical components.
  • Perform energy calibration, charge-sharing correction, and stability characterization through detailed data analysis.
  • Utilize modeling and simulation tools like GEANT4 to validate and refine imaging technologies.
  • Serve as the technical interface between physics, electronics, and calibration teams to ensure system consistency.
  • Document procedures, test configurations, and design guidelines to support scalable production.

What we're looking for

  • Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear Physics, Detector Physics, Imaging Instrumentation, or a closely related field.
  • 7+ years of post-graduation experience with a scientific publication record, professional presentations, or an issued patent portfolio.
  • State-of-the-art knowledge of scintillation and semiconductor radiation detectors, specifically CZT modules.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MCNP, GEANT4, GATE, Simind, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and C# on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms.
  • Experience with software development tools, scripting, version control, and collaborative computing environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical imaging principles, including task-based quantitative image quality and AI-assisted reconstruction.
