What you'll do

Participate in the full software development lifecycle to create solutions for integrating and testing complex hardware.
Define, document, and refine software requirements and designs based on mission needs.
Design, implement, and test software using C++, C, XML, and Python on Windows and Linux platforms.
Support hardware integration activities including troubleshooting, defect resolution, and performance improvement.
Apply software engineering best practices and DevOps processes to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
Utilize automation, code reuse, and AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity and reliability.
Manage configuration and defect tracking using tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, or similar systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience.
Graduate degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 1 year of experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (must be a U.S. citizen).
Experience with Atlassian tools, Agile methodologies, or DevOps tools for virtualization and automation (preferred).
Experience with object-oriented software architecture, SQL/NoSQL databases, or hardware interfaces like PCIe and FPGAs (preferred).
Experience with AI-assisted development tools, space hardware test methodologies, or the full SDLC (preferred).
