What you'll do

Analyze and interpret project requirements from engineering teams and program management staff.
Translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs for software components and applications.
Present technical designs to stakeholders including software engineers and program management.
Develop and implement software components based on approved technical designs.
Perform unit and component testing to ensure the quality of all deliverables.
Identify and resolve requirement violations found during functional testing and in production.
Track and report the status of tasks, deliverables, and issues to the engineering team.
Mentor less experienced team members and manage multiple task assignments simultaneously.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years of progressively advanced object oriented commercial or government software development experience.
Experience with C# and Visual Studio (Java experience is a potential substitute).
Proficient knowledge of object-oriented design/development principles, practices, and techniques.
Proficiency in software unit, component, integration testing, source code management, and defect tracking.
Ability to implement Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Experience with WPF/XAML, SOLID principles, design patterns, UML, or multithreaded application development (preferred).
