Specialist, EO/IR Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Provide mission engineering support and operations for L3Harris hardware and software products.
• Monitor and trend system performance to identify and respond to anomalous conditions.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex problems associated with spaceflight hardware.
• Develop and verify mission concepts of operations (CONOPs) to ensure successful program execution.
• Resolve a wide range of technical issues by collaborating with mechanical, optical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• Communicate technical risks, opportunities, and status updates regarding L3Harris products to teammates and customers.
• Coordinate with off-site factory support and on-site customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and perform surge or shift work as required.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline and minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant systems engineering background.
• 2 years’ relevant experience with space systems and/or sensor systems technology design, manufacture, integration, and test.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Matlab.
• U.S. citizens.
