Specialist, Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer supports production and sustainment activities for complex RF and Digital electronic systems and their subcomponents. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, failure analysis, configuration management, and yield improvement across the product lifecycle. You will investigate root causes for production failures, test anomalies, and returned hardware while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams. Key responsibilities include reviewing engineering changes, part substitutions, and obsolescence impacts on digital CCA functionality and system performance. The position requires technical expertise in EW systems, RF receivers, transmitters, antennas, and FPGA-based assemblies. Candidates must possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience to manage requirements traceability and technical baseline control. This role addresses critical hardware issues within the aerospace and defense sectors, specifically focusing on mission-critical electronics, radar, and communication technologies.
Troubleshoot, test, and analyze hardware issues for electronic warfare systems, RF components, and digital assemblies.
Perform root cause investigations for production failures, test anomalies, yield issues, and returned hardware.
Support the troubleshooting and repair of test stations and test benches.
Review engineering changes, part substitutions, and obsolescence impacts on system performance and functionality.
Manage configuration management, requirements traceability, and technical baseline control for released hardware.
Lead nonconformance investigations, failure review boards, and corrective action initiatives.
Analyze production and test data to identify recurring defects and opportunities for yield improvement.
Prepare technical documentation, issue summaries, and engineering recommendations for production and sustainment activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4 years of experience, or a Graduate Degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance.
Experience in manufacturing support, product sustainment, failure analysis, or field support (preferred).
Background in aerospace, defense, communications, radar, or other mission-critical electronics environments (preferred).
Familiarity with production screening, acceptance test, qualification regression, and environmental test support (preferred).
Familiarity with component obsolescence, part substitutions, and configuration/change control processes (preferred).
Experience working with suppliers, PCB fabrication, CCA assembly, and manufacturing/test organizations (preferred).
