TL;DR · Specialist, Electrical Engineer - Digital Hardware Engineer

Specialist, Electrical Engineer - Digital Hardware Engineer will develop digital circuits for data acquisition and computing systems. The role involves generating specifications, selecting components, designing high-speed digital circuits, performing simulations and analyses, supporting PWB layout, and conducting integration and verification testing. Key responsibilities include CCA design for mixed signal technology circuits involving A/D, D/A, processors, I/O communication, and programmable logic such as FPGA and CPLD. The engineer will work with TI DSP, Freescale, or Intel processors, microcontrollers, and various memory types like DDRx, SRAM, ROM, and Flash. Technical requirements include experience with HDI, Meg6, and back drilling technologies, along with proficiency in schematic capture software for constraint-driven layout and timing analysis. Candidates should possess hardware debugging skills using signal generators, logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes to solve complex digital design problems.

What you'll do

  • Develop digital circuits for data acquisition and computing systems.
  • Generate technical specifications and select components for mixed-signal technology circuits.
  • Design high-speed digital circuits including DDRx memory interfaces and I/O communication.
  • Perform schematic capture, constraint-driven design, simulation, and timing analysis using specialized software suites.
  • Support printed wiring board (PWB) layout processes involving HDI, Meg6, and back drilling technologies.
  • Execute integration and verification testing for hardware designs.
  • Debug hardware using signal generators, logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Experience in high-speed digital circuit design, simulation, analysis, and PWB layout support.
  • Proficiency in designing circuits for A/D, D/A, Processors, I/O communication, and Programmable Logic (FPGA, CPLD).
  • Experience with components such as TI DSP, Freescale or Intel Processors, Microcontrollers, and various memory types.
  • Familiarity with board technologies including HDI, Meg6, and back drilling.
  • Experience with high-speed memory and network interfaces and protocols (preferred).
  • U.S. citizens.
