The Solution Architect Expert (AI) joins the Corporate & Institutional Banking organization to lead the technical modernization of commercial lending technology. As a senior technical lead within a forward-deployed team, you will own the target architecture for a new platform, making real-time design calls and remaining hands-on through delivery. You will rebuild legacy commercial real estate loan servicing systems using agentic AI, including LLMs, RAG, and agent orchestration. Key responsibilities involve reverse-engineering business rules from older codebases and designing scalable, cloud-native architectures using microservices, APIs, and Kubernetes on AWS or Azure. You must write code in Python or Java while utilizing tools like LangGraph or AutoGen. This role solves the complex problem of migrating legacy financial systems into modern, AI-driven workflows for lending, underwriting, and compliance.

What you'll do

Own the target architecture for the new commercial real estate loan servicing platform.
Lead the technical design and implementation of agentic AI solutions including RAG and tool use.
Rewrite legacy code and reverse-engineer business rules using AI-assisted engineering tools.
Write production code in Python or Java and pair with engineers on implementation tasks.
Design cloud-native architectures using microservices, APIs, event-driven design, and Kubernetes.
Create detailed design specifications including class models, sequence diagrams, and component models.
Ensure all solution designs meet security, resiliency, auditability, and model risk standards.
Communicate architectural tradeoffs, technology costs, and implementation requirements to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

Multiple years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
Experience as a technical lead on at least one large legacy modernization project.
Hands-on experience building production systems with LLMs and agentic AI.
Strong cloud-native architecture background including microservices, APIs, event-driven design, and Kubernetes.
Ability to write code in Python, Java, or similar languages.
Bachelor's degree (preferred).
8+ years of industry experience (preferred).
Commercial lending or financial services domain knowledge (preferred).
