SolarWinds Administrator

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, configure, and administer SolarWinds monitoring tools to monitor IT infrastructure.
• Customize SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and reports to meet specific operational requirements.
• Analyze SolarWinds data to identify performance bottlenecks and implement system optimizations.
• Respond to alerts promptly and investigate incidents to resolve issues efficiently.
• Provide SQL database configuration, support, and consultation for the platform.
• Review and update STIG requirements and checklists while remediating and documenting findings.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SolarWinds configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Provide technical training on SolarWinds products and broader monitoring principles to users.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have an active and current DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Must possess a DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification at IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE minimum).
• Must have 4+ years of experience in SolarWinds administration with hands-on expertise in various modules.
• Must have a strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure, system architecture, Netflow, SNMP, and Packet Analysis.
• Must be proficient in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Demonstrated ability in implementing and configuring SolarWinds Orion products in a distributed and highly available environment (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience with hands-on server and network administration for medium to large organizations (preferred).
