What you'll do

  • Invent and develop new algorithms for RTL synthesis and digital logic optimization.
  • Build physical-aware synthesis techniques using placement/congestion/timing feedback.
  • Develop strategies for analyzing RTL changes' impact on timing, power, area, DFT, clocking, and power delivery.
  • Prototype and evaluate machine learning methods to guide optimization decisions in production.
  • Explore high-performance algorithms for clustering, min cost tree covering, and logic synthesis details.

What we're looking for

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background in EDA software and VLSI flows with focus on logic synthesis and digital optimization.
  • Expertise in modern C++ including templates/STL, concurrency libraries, profiling, performance optimization, data structures, algorithms, and testing.
  • Solid understanding of RTL design concepts such as timing, clocking, DFT basics, power intent, and EDA techniques like SAT solvers.
  • Experience with high-performance software design, multithreading, distributed computing, efficient memory and I/O use.
