The Software Quality Engineer - Media joins the Media Frameworks Quality Engineering team within the Media, Graphics & Compute organization. You will be responsible for defining functional and performance test strategies for new features, building and extending Python automation libraries to scale coverage, and executing both manual and automated tests to validate real-world usage. Day-to-day tasks include triaging failures, providing data-driven quality assessments, and partnering with development engineers to root-cause complex issues. The role requires proficiency in Python or other object-oriented programming languages and experience designing automated test suites. You will work on the technical challenges of maintaining high-quality media workflows and ensuring seamless playback and capture across a wide range of hardware platforms.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1+ years of professional software industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented programming language (preferred).
  • Experience designing, developing, and executing automated test suites (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening and clear articulation of results (preferred).
  • Demonstrated technical leadership paired with the ability to contribute as part of a team (preferred).
