Software Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Execute manual and automated tests during each Jira sprint cycle.
• Write clear and maintainable test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Produce accurate and organized test reports and defect reports.
• Coordinate test activities and manage limited test resources to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Troubleshoot software defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot software test environments.
• Manage software testing methodologies and defect management processes.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering by May 2027.
• 0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience managing or mentoring QA team members (preferred).
• Working knowledge of automated testing tools or frameworks such as GTest (C++) and JUnit (preferred).
• Experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting test environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, particularly Jira-based sprint workflows (preferred).
• Experience with software testing methodologies, QA processes, defect management, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
