Software Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Execute test plans and protocols for end-user applications, systems software, and firmware.
• Identify, log, and debug software defects across local, networked, and internet-based platforms.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate software functionality.
• Code and program test scripts, automation, and integration activities based on specific requirements.
• Automate testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve efficiency.
• Conduct load and stress testing to identify software bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test matrices, and testing reports.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to coding standards, design guidelines, and best practices.

What we're looking for

• Must be able to work on-site in Ft Collins 5 days a week.
• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• Commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence in a related field is accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses, or QA focused tools (preferred).
• Must possess knowledge of Agile Methodology, CI/CD, and Software Testing.
• Must have skills in Python, scripting, debugging, and test automation.
• Must be proficient with tools including Jenkins, JIRA, and Test Rail.
• Certified Software Quality Engineer, CASQ, or CSTE certifications are preferred.
