The Software Quality Assurance Engineer - 2026 New College Grad joins the Workstation and Virtualization team to ensure product quality across computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing. You will collaborate with customers, software engineers, and program managers to reproduce issues, perform root cause analyses, and validate defect resolutions. Daily responsibilities include validating products on customer-specific platforms and building diagnostic tools or AI-driven technologies to improve workflow efficiency. Required skills include proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM, and programming in Python, C#, and C++. You must also possess knowledge of PC architecture, graphics technologies such as DirectX and CUDA, and experience with debugging tools like ETW.
Reproduce technical issues reported by OEMs, enterprise customers, and partners.
Perform root cause analyses and verify defect resolutions with software developers and program managers.

What we're looking for
Pursue a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency in Windows, virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM), and scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
Solid knowledge of PC architecture, supercomputers, and computer clusters, including caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.
Extensive experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs and servers.
Hands-on experience with debugging tools, memory dump analysis, remote debugging, and Windows performance tracing tools like ETW.
Knowledge of graphics technology such as DirectX, OpenGL, WDDM, CUDA, and OpenCL.
Expertise in planning, installing, and optimizing virtualization environments (preferred); strong knowledge of Linux distributions (preferred); experience with Generative AI platforms (preferred).
