Software Integrity Engineer, Sensing & Connectivity

What you'll do

• Design and build new test benches to validate cutting-edge location features across the lab footprint.
• Execute validation campaigns to ensure new location features meet Apple's quality standards.
• Create representative real-world and simulated scenarios to characterize location behavior in diverse environments.
• Define and track specific quality metrics to gate software changes throughout the release cycle.
• Develop custom analysis scripts and statistical models to identify and quantify positioning regressions.
• Maintain the operational health, configuration, and readiness of devices, test rigs, and receivers.
• Analyze logs to triage issues and root-cause failures in the positioning stack.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in GNSS testing, positioning validation, or wireless system verification.
• Experience building and shipping ML or AI systems in production or through significant project work.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and developing automated test harnesses.
• Experience setting up and maintaining test benches for GNSS/A-GNSS simulation equipment and live signal testing.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies, test automation strategy, and debugging logs to root-cause issues.
• Knowledge of A-GNSS protocols, multi-constellation processing, and 3GPP location-service specifications.
