Software Engineering Manager, Wallet Identity

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical leads building mission-critical identity verification services.
• Define the engineering strategy and operational roadmap across multiple workstreams aligned with organizational goals.
• Own the end-to-end architecture, deployment, monitoring, and on-call operations for ML-powered services.
• Partner with ML engineers to manage model lifecycles and implement MLOps best practices at scale.
• Collaborate with iOS teams to design and evolve APIs connecting on-device experiences with server-side processing.
• Translate product vision into technical roadmaps and establish a consistent delivery cadence for high-quality results.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders to shape requirements and align priorities.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating distributed systems at large scale.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Experience managing managers or technical leads across multiple workstreams or sub-teams.
• Experience managing the deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of ML models in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including consistency, latency, and throughput.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, incident management, and reliability practices.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse and geographically distributed audiences.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring, and building high-volume REST or gRPC services.
