Software Engineering Manager, Siri Evaluation, Developer Workflows

What you'll do

• Set the technical direction and lead a team building developer-facing evaluation tools, services, and automation.
• Perform hands-on engineering tasks including architecture design, code writing, and peer code reviews.
• Design durable data models and backend services that other internal teams can build upon.
• Integrate LLMs and agentic automation into real engineering workflows while maintaining human-in-the-loop judgment.
• Establish metrics to distinguish quality improvements from noise and maintain high standards for customer-facing tools.
• Transform internal systems into scalable platforms that allow other teams to self-serve and onboard independently.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of engineers with a focus on technical rigor and ownership.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience building production software using languages such as Python, Swift, Go, or Java.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineers as a manager or technical lead responsible for team direction and delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to remain hands-on by setting architecture, writing design documents, reviewing code, and building components.
• Practical experience applying LLMs or AI agents to real engineering workflows.
• Experience with developer tooling, test infrastructure, CI/CD, or evaluation and ML platforms.
• Depth in agentic systems with human-in-the-loop review (preferred).
• Experience designing and operating distributed backend services and APIs in production (preferred).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, data platforms, or large-scale test and release infrastructure (preferred).
