Software Engineering & Development, Officer The Software Engineering & Development, Officer joins the Global Technology Services team within the Back Office Accounting IT unit. This role focuses on the accounting value stream, where the individual will lead the design, development, and resiliency of core accounting applications. The primary objective is to deliver complex technology solutions that support high-volume, time-critical processing necessary for producing a Fund’s Net Asset Value while ensuring reliability and scalability. The successful candidate will utilize Mainframe technologies including PL/I, Cobol, CICS, SQL, JCL, and DB2. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with architecture leads and risk teams to ensure sound solutions, identifying automation opportunities, and promoting agile application development. The role requires expertise in a complex financial domain to meet stringent regulatory and operational expectations.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain business applications on the core accounting platform.
Ensure application resiliency for high-volume, time-critical processing of Net Asset Values.
Build technology solutions that meet stringent regulatory, operational, and client expectations.
Identify and complete opportunities for process automation.
Promote agile application development methodologies where appropriate.
Improve application development and support processes through continuous improvement.
Ensure solutions are sound from architectural, risk, and business perspectives.

What we're looking for

4+ years of experience developing enterprise scale applications.
Proven track record demonstrating subject matter expertise in a complex financial domain.
Mainframe experience in PL/I, Cobol, CICS, SQL, JCL, and DB2.
4+ years of experience in a large financial services organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or associated areas.
Experience in or knowledge of Agile or Industrialized Agile (preferred).
Strong communication skills for interacting with IT and business areas.
Ability to work independently or as part of a development team in a fast-paced environment.
