The Software Engineer (Thermal & Fluid Analysis) joins the Thermal & Fluid Analysis team to support the design and testing of Starship’s thermal and fluid systems, including propellant feed systems, gas systems, and thermal protection. In this role, you will develop software tools to improve analysis throughput, build infrastructure for system analysis, and automate workflows to accelerate mission and design iterations. You will also support simulation and validation using test and flight data while writing clean, scalable code with strong documentation. The position requires proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and/or Rust, with preferred experience in MATLAB, C/C++, Git, Thermal Desktop, ANSYS Workbench, and Siemens STAR-CCM+. Candidates should possess skills in data processing, high performance computing, and 0-D or 1-D modeling of thermal and fluid networks to solve complex engineering problems for spacecraft systems.
