As a Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will help design and manufacture next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips. Your primary responsibility involves breaking Apple Silicon using a bare metal system level software suite that runs mostly post-silicon to identify corner-case hardware bugs. You will write SoC and CPU directed and random tests, debug issues pre-silicon and post-silicon, and develop and maintain the system-level software platform. This role requires leading software development and execution plans while collaborating with designers and architects. You must possess embedded programming experience and proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly. Key technical competencies include micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating, and experience with hardware and software debug tools and scopes.

What we're looking for

  • BS in EE or CS.
  • 10 years of experience.
  • Embedded programming experience.
  • SOC and CPU knowledge including micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt, DMA, clock/power gating, and SoC bringup (preferred).
  • C/C++ and Assembly language programmer (preferred).
  • Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods (preferred).
  • Experience with scopes (preferred).
