As a Software Engineer (SAP Support Developer), IS&T Enterprise Systems, you will join the SAP Development Team to support essential enterprise applications and maintain the technical backbone for core functions including Sales, Retail, Services, Finance, and Operations. You will be responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining business applications while ensuring system reliability and security through influential design contributions. Your daily work involves monitoring support quality, identifying automation opportunities, managing issues, performing proactive system monitoring, and executing upgrades or minor enhancements. The role requires proficiency in Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Security), UI frameworks like ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, or SAP UI5, and experience with REST/SOAP WebServices and OData. You will also work with Cloud Platforms such as SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, AWS, or Google Cloud to support complex enterprise systems.
Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain business applications on the SAP platform.
Provide 24/7 on-call support to resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Perform proactive system monitoring and manage technical issue resolution.
Implement system upgrades and minor functional enhancements for enterprise applications.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve support efficiency.
Collaborate with Functional, BASIS, Platform, and Security teams to ensure system reliability.
Develop and maintain web services using REST, SOAP, and OData protocols.
Integrate backend systems with SAP BTP using Cloud Connector or SAP CPI.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
2 years of experience in Application Development and Support.
2 years of experience in software development best practices, system integration, unit testing, and performance tuning.
2 years of experience developing business applications using Java, Spring Framework (Boot, Web, Security), and UI Frameworks like ReactJS, VueJS, Angular, or SAP UI5.
2 years of experience developing and deploying applications on Cloud Platforms such as SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, AWS, or Google Cloud.
2 years of hands-on experience consuming and developing HTTP Services (REST/SOAP WebServices, OData).
Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI, or JMeter.
Knowledge of debugging web applications using browser dev tools and SAP backend integration via Cloud Connector or SAP CPI.
