Software Engineer, REST API Development, Officer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for business applications and integrations.
• Build and maintain reusable components, libraries, and integration services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including API specifications, developer guides, and implementation notes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API and integration issues across development and testing environments.
• Write unit, integration, and automated API tests to ensure performance and reliability.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Support the development of integrations between internal systems, external partners, and cloud services.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation tasks.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0-2 years of professional software development experience including internships, co-ops, and academic projects.
• Familiarity with at least one backend language or framework such as Java, C#, .NET, or Spring Boot.
• Basic understanding of REST API principles, HTTP protocols, JSON, and SQL databases.
• Proficiency in Git-based source control and foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, messaging platforms like Kafka, or containerization technologies like Docker (preferred).
• Internship or academic experience in financial services or regulated industries (preferred).
