Software Engineer, Online Database Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust software solutions with appropriate tradeoffs for reliability and cost.
• Innovate and implement software to improve infrastructure resiliency, efficiency, and management at scale.
• Develop, maintain, and debug distributed systems built with open source tools.
• Build and operate infrastructure and tools that empower other developers.
• Identify shortcomings and optimization opportunities to make data-driven cost performance tradeoffs.
• Break down large complex systems into manageable components.
• Uphold high engineering standards to improve the codebase and internal processes.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Software development.
• Must have 5 years of experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems built with open source tools.
• Must have 5 years of experience building infrastructure as a product centered around users’ needs.
• Must have 5 years of experience scaling distributed systems and breaking down large complex systems.
• Must have 5 years of experience identifying shortcomings and optimization opportunities to make data-driven cost performance tradeoffs.
• Must have 5 years of experience building and operating infrastructure and tools that empower developers.
• Must have 5 years of experience working in a development team in AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP using Ruby, Go, Python, or Java.
