Software Engineer L7, Application Networking

What you'll do

• Set multi-year product and technical strategy for the Application Networking organization.
• Forge the architectural path for the communication backbone connecting services, devices, and partners.
• Design and operate foundational distributed systems and platforms at massive internet scale.
• Secure every form of identity across users, services, and agents.
• Identify and pursue high-impact technical opportunities in ambiguous and undefined problem spaces.
• Influence architecture and technical direction across peer teams and the broader organization.
• Elevate the performance of senior engineers and set the technical bar for the team.
• Communicate technical roadmaps and strategies to engineering, product, and executive audiences.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience in architecting, building, and operating foundational distributed systems or platforms at massive scale.
• A track record of setting technical direction and influencing architecture across organizations, including with peer teams.
• Experience identifying and pursuing high-impact opportunities in ambiguous, undefined problem spaces.
• Experience shaping or contributing to open-source communities, or building systems that set standards others adopt (preferred).
• A track record of elevating the most senior engineers and setting the technical bar others follow.
• Experience communicating effectively across engineering, product, and executive audiences.
