Software Engineer Intern, Labs

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and ship technical elements of robotics and cloud software.
• Build petabyte-scale data processing pipelines in the cloud.
• Optimize nanosecond-level compute for bleeding-edge AI models.
• Design robot operating systems and software frameworks for reliable scaling.
• Implement vision foundation models and VLMs for perception and safety.
• Write clean code using object-oriented programming languages and version control.
• Perform unit testing and analyze system efficiency, scalability, and stability.
• Present summer project learnings during a final presentation.

What we're looking for

• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• You must be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• You must have no more than 2 years of full-time work experience.
• You must be graduating between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
• You must be available for a May or June 2027 start date.
• You must have experience working with databases such as AWS or SQL.
• You must have a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• You must have proficient experience with at least one object-oriented programming language like Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• You must have experience writing clean code, using version control, and performing unit testing.
• You should have at least 1 previous Software Engineering internship or equivalent relevant experience (preferred).
• You should have experience using AI-powered tools to support software development and problem-solving (preferred).
• You should have experience with systems monitoring, live deployments, continuous integration, and service-oriented architecture (preferred).
