Software Engineer III, Scala Engineer

What you'll do

• Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for multiple components.
• Write secure, high-quality code using Scala, Java, or Python with limited guidance.
• Design and develop software while considering upstream and downstream system implications.
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools to improve automation and delivery value.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure application development.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review and testing.
• Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
• Maintain and debug code within a large corporate environment using AWS cloud computing.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding in Scala, Java, or Python.
• Strong Big-Data and database skills.
• Experience with AWS cloud computing using ECS, EKS, EMR, and Lambda.
• Well-versed in data structures, algorithms, and efficient coding practices.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
• Familiarity with Spark and distributed computing (preferred).
