What you'll do

Design and develop scalable software solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, including performance tuning and partitioning.
Develop complex SQL queries and perform advanced query optimization for large datasets.
Create and manage Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL procedures, and performance tuning.
Model data tables using ERwin with a focus on normalization and dimensional modeling.
Integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Manage semi-structured JSON data including parsing, flattening, and schema evolution.
Maintain technical documentation and participate in peer code reviews to ensure engineering standards.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Strong data modeling expertise using ERwin, including normalization and dimensional modeling techniques.
Hands-on experience with Databricks for building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL, including advanced techniques like window functions and query optimization.
Strong Oracle experience including PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
Experience handling JSON and semi-structured data, including parsing and schema evolution.
Proficiency with Git-based workflows using Bitbucket or GitHub and IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA.
Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and understanding of responsible AI usage.
Experience enabling or administering Unity Catalog (preferred).
Experience working in an agile or scrum delivery environment (preferred).
Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes (preferred).
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices (preferred).
Knowledge of financial services technology or regulated industry environments (preferred).
