What you'll do

  • Develop and troubleshoot innovative software solutions for complex cloud data platform problems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a managed AWS Databricks platform.
  • Provide engineering and operational support for the Databricks platform to SRE and application teams.
  • Perform platform configuration, workspace administration, and resource monitoring for data science and engineering teams.
  • Utilize AI coding tools to improve code quality, refactoring, and automated testing.
  • Identify patterns in data to improve system architecture and coding hygiene.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like Terraform and Jenkins.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
  • At least 2 years of applied experience in software engineering.
  • Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and/or Java programming and automated unit testing.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure provisioning using automated tools.
  • Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket versioning, Jenkins build tools, and pypi or maven artifactory integrations.
  • Knowledge of Big Data distributed compute frameworks like Spark and Terraform.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring secure and responsible AI practices.
