What you'll do

Design and develop software for Azure SmartNIC platforms and networking offload technologies.
Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of networking services for compute and storage workloads.
Develop solutions across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries to ensure high availability.
Analyze telemetry and production data to drive live-site improvements for networking services.
Partner with silicon, firmware, and platform teams to deliver next-generation networking capabilities.
Drive engineering problems from initial design through implementation and production deployment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with C++, C, Rust, or Python (or equivalent).
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and other required security screenings.
Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in coding with C++, C, Rust, or Python (preferred).
Experience in software design, debugging, performance analysis, and problem-solving in distributed systems or cloud-scale services (preferred).
Experience developing automated tests, monitoring, and telemetry for production systems (preferred).
Experience with networking technologies like TCP/IP, RDMA, Ethernet, DPDK, SR-IOV, or SmartNIC architectures (preferred).
Experience developing software for Linux-based systems, cloud infrastructure, or hyperscale platforms (preferred).
Familiarity with hardware-software interactions, device drivers, firmware, and performance-sensitive systems (preferred).
