What you'll do

Define, implement, and maintain custom software products for high-throughput automated research systems.
Develop and maintain device integrations for liquid handling robotic systems using REST, gRPC, Serial, Web Sockets, and SiLA protocols.
Work cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and application scientists to develop new product offerings.
Partner with scientists and lab automation engineers to diagnose and resolve integration issues across APIs, services, and third-party devices.
Debug system behavior across hardware/software boundaries, including timing, communication, and scheduling interactions.
Architect and deliver custom software solutions for complex life science and laboratory automation challenges.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Professional software development experience ( with a master’s degree).
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Some experience in C#/.NET (Java experience is also considered).
Experience in WPF or desktop application development (preferred).
Experience in containerization and orchestration technology such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes (preferred).
Experience troubleshooting network-related issues including latency, connectivity, and DNS resolution (preferred).
Experience with hardware integrations or lab automation systems (preferred).
