Software Engineer II

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure for Azure AI services in air-gapped and sovereign cloud environments.
• Integrate AI tools into the software development lifecycle to accelerate production and ensure high-quality code output.
• Write extensible, maintainable code while ensuring it meets standards for performance, reliability, and security.
• Design system architectures and technical specifications that meet scalability requirements and compliance standards.
• Create and execute comprehensive test strategies, including automated testing and security validation, to prevent regressions.
• Implement "security as code" by establishing guardrails, monitoring telemetry, and ensuring data privacy across all features.
• Automate deployment processes and manage production releases using feature flags and controlled rollout strategies.
• Participate in on-call rotations to monitor live services, troubleshoot incidents, and improve system observability.

• Performs code reviews to ensure quality, test coverage, and adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Designs system architectures and features considering performance, scalability, reliability, and cost of goods sold.
• Creates and executes comprehensive test strategies including automated testing and security validation.
• Implements automation for production deployment and manages infrastructure for private builds in production-like environments.
• Monitors live site services on a rotational basis as a designated responsible individual (DRI).
• Integrates logging, instrumentation, and telemetry to monitor system behavior and security concerns.
