Software Engineer II

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain software features for Azure AI in air-gapped and sovereign cloud environments.
• Develop automation for model and service deployment, release validation, and monitoring to improve engineering efficiency.
• Own scoped features from initial design through testing and production deployment.
• Improve service observability and participate in on-call rotations to investigate and fix production issues.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support prototyping, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Integrate new capabilities by resolving service dependencies involving networking, identity, and cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation to share knowledge.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI access based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
• Must be able to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Experience developing backend services, APIs, or automation using C#, Python, or another general-purpose programming language (preferred).
• Experience building, deploying, or supporting applications on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (preferred).
• Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
